Ok, so last week I refused to weigh-in...this week I felt the same especially after the holiday weekend. But mark my words!!!!! Friday, July 16th will be a good day! :) Gotta get serious here...August is approching quickly and I refuse to lose!

Let the Competiton Begin!!

So dieting isn't the easiest thing to do, we all know this...changing your lifestyle is even harder! So DH & I have decided to have a little weight loss competition. Final weigh-in will be on the last Friday of August and whoever lost the most wins!!! Details of the "prize" haven't been completely sorted out, but I'm sure there will be some slavery involved! LOL

Even though it is a competition, we are doing it together and hope for the both of us to become healthier and fit. That is the true goal here. :)

I am still going to use Weight Watchers as my "guide" (the points) but mostly we are just being cautious of what we eat and portion size. I will check in more often with updates. :)

Been along time...

since I have posted. Also, been along time since I have focused on weight loss. I have been spending pretty much every evening and weekend painting my house and cleaning out cabinets and such. Whew! Not done yet, still have a few windows, some trim and then final touch-ups! My sister & I have painted a bathroom, the kitchen, dining room, hallway, entry way and the living room! Each room with 2-3 different colors! OMG what a task! I will post some pics at a late date. Still need to do some decorating. So I guess staying busy and active is the reason I haven't gained any weight. :)

Surprisingly I was able to wear a couple of different pants this week that I hadn't been able to fit in a couple months ago! I was shocked! LOL

Well I spent all day getting the garden ready to plant the veggies...I am pooped, but it is NSD (National Scrapbook Day) so I think I am going to hop on over to My Pink Stamper's Blog and participate in some of the challenges she is posting today! Been forever since I have fired up my Cricut with all this painting and gardening!

Check out this Hottie!

Hehe...here is a recent picture of my sister Alli.

Her goal was to lose 10 lbs and guess what, she did it! Congrats Sister! She is living proof that you must stay focused and motivated...although she hasn't stuck to a well balanced diet, LOL, she has stuck to and committed to a steady workout schedule that includes running on the treadmill (she works that machine for like an hour every time!), strolls around the neighborhood and even some weight training with her BF (Boyfriend) an average of 5 days a week!
So yes, since I have joined Weight Watchers I have lost a total of 11.4 lbs...but I have a long way to go! I do have trouble sticking to my daily points allowance since obviously I love food, and have lacked a consistent workout schedule. But I have started this week strong! Ran on the treadmill Monday, Tuesday and tonight, and I have been counting my points. I am not giving up! :)
We "Spring Forward" this Sunday!! YAY!! That means longer evenings, which means outdoor activities after work! Can't wait!

Weight Loss Miracle??

LOL! Nah, just lucky I guess! Weighed-in this morning...down 1.9 lbs!! OMG I thought for sure not working out and dieting for two weeks I would have gained. But boy was I happy to see that lower number appear on that screen! hehe...since I am back to counting points (as of today) and getting back into a work out routine, I hope to see and even smaller number next week! I'm gonna shoot for 3 lbs...think I can do it?? We shall see!

Zero-Point soup


Yummm....this is a life saver!! LOL Weight watchers zero-point veggie soup. They actually have several different versions of this soup but i have only made one...slightly modified adding some diced tomatoes...I love tomatoes!!! I usually have two 1-cup servings in a day when I have some made. It's delish!!


Weigh-in is tomorrow...I skipped last week because I have been bad. Not working out or dieting!! But I will weigh-in tomorrow and I know it will not be good so I promise to get back on track and weigh-in on Friday, March 12th with good news!!! :)

Friday's Weigh-in & Warm Weather!

Well, I weighed in at exactly the same weight as the prior week! It's good news considering I have failed to stay on Weight Watchers and only worked out once last week, bad news is that I haven't lost anymore.

The weather is beautiful outside! Supposed to be 80 degrees the next couple days! As much as I love the winter and any rain we can get out here in Southern California, I am looking forward to Spring, warmer weather (which makes salads and lighter foods much more satisfying) and longer days (daylight) for bike rides, hikes, working in the garden getting all the veggies planted, etc. Ya know, some outdoor exercise. The treadmill gets boring. LOL Oh and lets not forget that warmer weather is also a big fat reminder that SUMMER is coming!! That alone is motivation for me to try harder! Must head back to work now! Have a great day!

Awesome Rainbow This Morning!




As we were backing out of the driveway this morning to go to breakfast followed by some browsing at a couple stores, I looked over and saw the fatest & brightest rainbow ever! I told Matt to stop and get the camera! LOL By the time he came back out with the camera the clouds had moved a bit and it wasn't so bright anymore but still pretty awesome looking. Here are a couple pics we took! It was sooo big & pretty!

Anyway, I weighed in yesterday...only down .6 lbs. Better than up, right? :) Super bowl is tomorrow, AKA National Snack Food Day! Matt is making his awesome homemade chili & of course you can't have Super Bowl without hot wings, can you??? YUMMMM!! Gonna have to workout hard this week! Have a great day!

On Fire!!!!


Oh Ya!! Here I am after a 30 minute run on the treadmill! SWEATY!! Hard to tell from this picture because of the flash (I think), but my face was sooo red I felt like I was on fire! LOL

As of last Friday's weigh-in I have lost 10 pounds and my sister has lost 5!! But of course she doesn't have nearly as much weight to lose as I do, so she is almost at her goal. Way to go Sis!!

I've been really good about sticking to Weight Watchers during the week, but once the weekend hits....OMG!! Why does food have to be so darn delish??? And why does my Family have to cook so damn good?? Seriously!

Anyway, weighing in again tomorrow so until then...TTFN

Been almost two weeks...

since I have been on the treadmill!!! OMG! Finally rid of that nasty cough so I decided to work out tonight. Let me tell ya, it felt great. I can barley move right now! LOL I haven't really been eating right latley so I'm gonna search for some Weight Watchers recipes for this week. I must have good news on Friday! :) TTFN

Bad News???

Considering the week I have had...being sick and not working out, losing a loved one, and eating out so much, I managed to maintain. I weighed in this morning at exactly the same weight as last friday. Not what I wanted but I guess better than gaining, right? :) So is this bad news? Hmm...nah!

Weighed-in this morning...and it was good news!!! Down another 3.6 lbs!!! This is getting a lot easier as the days go by. Went back to work today after two days off sick. Feeling better, but still have a horrible cough.

Day Five...

Well its actually day six right now but I didn't have a chance to get on the computer last night. :) Weighed in yesterday...thankfully it was good news! Down 4.2 lbs!!! Kinda "fell off the wagon" last night celebrating my Brother-in-Law's 30th birthday, but I'm gonna get back on that wagon for sure! Planning on more good news next week!

Day Three...

Used the treadmill again today! Legs are starting feel it, feels good. Today wasn't so bad but I am really hungry right now. My husband is making dinner and it's almost ready! Yeah! I made the zero-point vegetable soup last night. It's pretty darn good and may be the reason today wasn't so bad. :) A little cup of that kept me satisfied between my wheat English muffin for breakfast and my late lunch. Hopefully day four will be a little better.

Day Two...

I made it through day two! I speed walked/jogged on the treadmill for 30 minutes! Felt great! But boy was I hungry when I got home from work...uggghh. I'm sure it was probably just "in my head" since I am trying to lose weight. It will get easier, I hope. :)

The Beginning...


My first day. It went rather well. I joined Weight Watchers online and am using the Points system to guide/help me in my long journey to a healthier, better looking me. I look at pictures of my hubby & I just 5 & 1/2 years ago on our Honeymoon and can't believe how different I/we look! LOL It's really depressing! I don't fit into any of my clothes anymore and shopping for new ones is very frustrating! I love to scrapbook but HATE the way I look so I don't like being in pictures, and therefore I don't have many pics to scrap of my Husband & I. Grrr LOL Sooo...stop whining and do something about it, right? Well that is what I intend to do! I am going to document it as the weeks go on. Hopefully this will keep me motivated and on track. I have all the tools to do it, Weight Watchers, Wii Fit, Wii Active, Wii Your Shape...treadmill, Pilate's videos, you name it I have it! So I'm putting them to use now.....starting tomorrow!
